Speed control of an SPMSM using a tracking differentiator-PID controller scheme with a genetic algorithm

In this paper, a tracking differentiator-proportional integral and derivative (TD-PID) control scheme is proposed to the speed of surface mount permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM). The TD used generate necessary transient profile for both reference output speed, which are compared with each other produce error signals that feed into PID controller. addition unit parameters, controller’s parameters tuned achieve optimum new multi-objective performance index, comprised time absolute (ITAE), square energy signal (USQR), value (UABS) utilizing genetic algorithm (GA). A nonlinear model SPMSM considered in design TD-PID was validated by comparing its traditional PI controller MATLAB environment. Different case studies were tested show effectiveness scheme, results including peak overshoot, consumption, chatter, 30% improvement OPI, variable speeds, load torque, uncertainties.
